Nakodar is a small town in the Jalandhar district of the state of Punjab, India, located at 31°N, 75°E (map). It is 424 km NW of New Delhi and 114 km SE of Amritsar. The name Nakodar evolved from Neki-ka-Dar which means Doorway of Goodness.
